Good Vibrations Music celebrates ten years with “Decade One”, as Sean McCabe digs into the label archives for eight highlights spanning its soulful, deep and distinctly musical approach to house.
Ten years is a significant milestone for any independent label, particularly one that’s spent that time stubbornly following its own musical path.
Founded by Sean McCabe, Good Vibrations Music reaches that landmark in 2026 and rather than looking forward for the occasion, McCabe has taken the opportunity to dig back through the catalogue and select eight records that help tell the story so far.
“Decade One” isn’t presented as a definitive greatest hits package. Instead, it’s a snapshot of a label that has consistently operated somewhere between soulful and deep house, bringing together artists including Frankie Feliciano, Lem Springsteen, Mr. V, Kaidi Tatham, Black Sonix and, naturally, plenty of McCabe himself.

Sean McCabe’s “I Know Someone”, featuring Mike City and given the Ricanstruction Vocal treatment by Frankie Feliciano, is exactly the kind of sophisticated, soulful house that makes this retrospective worthwhile. Feliciano brings his unmistakable touch to the record, with Mike City’s vocal sitting beautifully within a groove that still sounds every bit as classy today.
There’s plenty more to explore.
Kaidi Tatham brings his distinctive musicality to Harold Matthews Jr & DJ Fill’s “Pause”, featuring Syl Messi, while McCabe’s own catalogue is represented particularly strongly by the Dawn Williams collaboration “Grow (After The Storm)” in his Patterns Vocal form.
His partnership with Lem Springsteen appears through the deeper “Connection (Sean’s Hook-Up Dub)”, while Harold Matthews Jr returns alongside Symone on “One Body”, revisited through McCabe’s Classic Vocal.
One of the more intriguing inclusions comes from The Matsiko World Orphan Choir with “Rise”, transformed by Black Sonix into a dub that further demonstrates how comfortably Good Vibrations has moved between different shades of soulful and deeper house over the years.
The final stretch brings another pair of strong collaborations. Mr. V joins McCabe for the West Mix of “It Can Be”, before Hannah Khemoh’s “Lost In The Heat” receives McCabe’s expansive Cosmos Vocal treatment to close the collection.
What comes through across “Decade One” is consistency without uniformity.
There is an identifiable Good Vibrations sound running throughout, warm, soulful and rooted firmly in house music, but McCabe has never allowed the label to become trapped by a single interpretation of what that should mean.
For existing followers, this is an opportunity to revisit some favourites. For anyone arriving at Good Vibrations more recently, it’s an excellent introduction to a catalogue that’s now been quietly growing for a decade.
And with eight tracks spread across a limited double vinyl package, “Decade One” feels like a fitting way to mark the first ten years.
