Uplifting house music rooted in disco, soul and jazz influences. Adelphi Music Factory deliver four warm, groove-led cuts built with dancers firmly in mind.

Sheffield’s Adelphi Music Factory return with another vibrant collection of house music that effortlessly balances classic influences with modern club energy. Released via Footjob, Sneaking Out The Back EP showcases the group’s talent for crafting records that feel equally at home during peak-time moments and deeper, late-night sessions.

Opening track Feel Alright sets the tone perfectly. Built around a rolling filtered groove, bulbous basslines and punchy house drums, it channels the spirit of French touch while maintaining its own identity. Vocal snippets, uplifting organ stabs and warm chords combine to create an infectious slice of feel-good house music that immediately grabs attention.

The title track Sneaking Out The Back shifts into jazzier territory. Rolling piano lines glide across a sturdy rhythm section, while a simple but effective bassline provides the foundation. There’s a timeless quality to the arrangement, drawing on classic house traditions without sounding overly nostalgic. It’s the sort of track that rewards both attentive listening and dancefloor immersion.

For many, You & Me will be the standout moment. Built around elements of First Choice’s legendary Let No Man Put Asunder, the track embraces disco house in its purest form. The combination of uplifting vocal hooks, driving groove and expertly judged sampling creates a record that feels instantly familiar while retaining enough freshness to stand proudly on its own. It’s a joyful, hands-in-the-air affair that captures everything great about house music’s relationship with disco.

Closing cut The Weekend takes things into deeper territory. Rich chords, sweeping strings and a more understated groove give the track a moody, sensual atmosphere. While less immediate than the preceding tracks, its subtle sophistication makes for a fitting finale and highlights another side of Adelphi Music Factory’s production palette.

Across all four tracks, Sneaking Out The Back EP demonstrates why Adelphi Music Factory continue to earn support from house music fans across the spectrum. Warm, musical and packed with personality, this is a release that understands the importance of groove while never forgetting the emotional pull that great house music can deliver.
