Ministry of Sound is returning to Ibiza for the first time in a decade with a massive event at 528 Ibiza on 3rd September.

Ministry of Sound’s relationship with Ibiza has always carried weight. From its years at Pacha and Space through to the wider crossover between London club culture and the White Isle, the brand has long been tied to the island’s dancefloor history. This September, after a decade away, it returns for a one-off event at 528 Ibiza as part of its ongoing 35th anniversary celebrations.

Taking place on 3rd September across both the venue’s open-air garden and indoor club space, the event feels carefully positioned between legacy and contemporary club culture. Rather than aiming for an oversized commercial statement, the line-up leans into selectors and DJs that reflect the broader spectrum of Ministry’s sound across the years.

Leading the garden stage is Louie Vega, one of House music’s true architects and a figure whose connection to soulful and deeper dance music makes complete sense in a Balearic setting like this. Alongside him sits Dan Shake, whose blend of disco, house and groove-led selections has steadily built him into one of the more reliable names on modern line-ups. Radio 1’s Benji B brings a broader musical reach to proceedings, whilst Paisley Jensen rounds out the outdoor programme.

As the night shifts indoors, URGE Presents takes over the club room with a tougher late-night direction from Robbie Doherty, Reelow, DiOSA and Basso. The split between the open-air garden and indoor space reflects the appeal of 528 itself, a venue that has quietly developed a reputation as one of Ibiza’s more intimate destinations. Set in the Benimussa Hills above San Antonio, the space moves away from the scale and excess often associated with the island’s larger venues, instead leaning into atmosphere, natural surroundings and a more close-knit dancefloor experience.

That balance appears central to why Ministry chose the venue for its return. Ministry of Sound Club Director Matt Long described 528 as “a side of the island that has real character and authenticity,” whilst also referencing the brand’s Ibiza history at clubs like Pacha and Space.

Founded in London in 1991, Ministry of Sound has remained one of the defining names in global dance music culture through its club, label and worldwide events. Its 35th anniversary celebrations have already stretched across multiple countries, with Ibiza now becoming part of a broader world tour running throughout 2026.

For a brand so closely linked to dance music history, returning to Ibiza after ten years away feels less like a nostalgia exercise and more like a statement of intent. The choice of venue, the line-up and the format all point towards something more measured and considered than a standard anniversary event.

Ministry of Sound lands at 528 Ibiza on 3rd September.
