Glasgow institution Sub Club has announced the return of its much-loved Southside Weekender, set to take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August at Queens Park Arena.
Now entering its fifth edition, the Weekender has quickly become a staple of the UK summer calendar, bringing Sub Club’s unmistakable energy outdoors for a weekend of community-focused, dancefloor-led programming.
Few venues carry the cultural weight of Sub Club. With over three decades at the heart of UK club culture, the Glasgow venue has built a global reputation for its commitment to sound, curation and atmosphere. Southside Weekender feels like a natural extension of that legacy, translating the club’s ethos into an open-air setting.
Following standout editions featuring the likes of Moodymann, Gerd Janson and Derrick Carter, this year’s lineup is already shaping up to be one of its strongest to date.
Saturday sees New Zealand duo Chaos In The CBD bring their signature blend of house, jazz and broken beat, alongside Subculture favourite Eclair Fifi, whose high-energy selections have become synonymous with the club’s modern sound.
On Sunday, house music legend Kerri Chandler takes top billing, joined by Floorplan, the project of Robert and Lyric Hood, delivering their unmistakable fusion of gospel, techno and house. Berlin’s Cinthie also joins the bill, bringing her groove-led, no-nonsense approach to the decks.

As with previous years, the music won’t stop when the park closes. Official afterparties are planned across both nights, with further lineup announcements still to come.
Five years in, Southside Weekender continues to grow while staying true to what makes Sub Club so important: a focus on community, sound and the dancefloor.
