DIGWAH is back with more tech inspired edits, this time The Stone Roses and Sade’s ‘Haunt Me’ are the flavour for the sauce.

Still not a lot of info of who is behind the DIGWAH outfit. But since 2016 they’ve been handpicking some of everyone’s favourites to re-touch and administer a healthy dose of tech-inspired beats. Names like Womack & Womack, The Doors, Sade, Cuba Gooding JR and many more have been DIGWAH’d and now we’ve got another two edits to make up the ninth release, if we’ve counted right.

First up is ‘Couldn’t Hate You’ which is a tough, tech-driven drum affair that comes alive when Ian Brown’s vocal from ‘I Am The Ressurection’ echoes into the channels. Sounds like some sort of Villalobos remix with a pinch of ketamine sprinkled over for fun. Next is ‘Open Ended’ which is another muddy, dirty tech track with minimal beats and loads of wired effects. Sade’s ‘Haunt Me’ provides the sample and sounds just as achingly tender even when over these tough, club ready beats.

Not going to be for everyone but we do enjoy the DIGWAH releases when they drop. Available from April 12th, 2024. Pre order here.
