Masters At Work continue to release nuggets from their vaults, this time it’s the harmonica-busting ‘MAW Shonuff’ out this month.

Louie Vega & Kenny Dope aka MAW, names synonymous with House Music for well over three decades have been responsible for many of the standout moments in dance music. Tracks like ‘I Can’t Get No Sleep’, ‘Deep Inside’, ‘To Be In Love’, Runaway’ and countless others have all been penned by the American duo. Whether it’s under their Kenlou, Nuyorican Soul, Ruffneck or MAW monikers, these guys have done it all.

They announced back in 2021 they we re-launching MAW Records and the guys have since mastered/edited and finished old project files they have come across and a plethora of new Masters At Work tracks are the result. The ‘Lost Tapes’ series has been outstanding so far with tracks like ‘Talkin’ Bout The Spirit’, ‘Apes Groove’ and ‘Boyd’s Jam’ already a staple in our DJ sets.

Now it’s time for ‘MAW Shonuff’. Set for release this November. Originally recorded back in 95′ the track has touches from MAW family member Frankie Feliciano as well as an outstanding harmonica solo from American Jazz master William Gallison. This dubby, jazz-infused groove is more in our KenLou bracket than MAW with it’s infectious, tight drum grooves and looping synth melodies, one definitely for the lovers of that classic America House sound.

‘MAW Shonuff’ is out on the 24th of November, pre order here via Traxsource.
