The age old question when it gets to October every year, “is there any decent Halloween dance tracks?”, let’s find out.

For many DJ’s the thought of playing seasonal music fodder is enough to make them wrench in disgust, but should we be looking to introduce a little fun and festivities into DJ sets at the right time? I guess everyone will have to answer that themselves but for many town/city DJ’s this time of the year means the requests will start coming in thick and fast.

Now we all know MJ’s ‘Thriller’ is probably the most accessible ‘Halloween’ track DJ’s don’t mind playing, but what else is out there? Have a look at ten of the best we found.

Number 10.

Duck Sauce – Big Bad Wolf

Number 9.

Dusty Springfield – Spooky (Quinten 909 Extended Remix)

Number 8.

Chris Lake & Clooney – Nightmares

Number 7.

Brainbug – Nightmare

Number 6.

Armand Van Helden – The Boogie Monster

Number 5.

Adana Twins – Strange (Uses ‘People Are Strange’ by The Doors Sample)

Number 4.

Sonique – I Put A Spell On You

Number 3.

Blawan – Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage?

Number 2.

Rockwell – Somebody’s Watching Me (Medway Remix)

Number 1.

Talking Heads-Psycho Killer (Greg Wilson Edit)

AND AS A BONUS …. we didn’t want to include ‘Thriller’ but this “Doin’ It In a Haunted House” is a 1984 single by Chicago born backing vocalist and soul singer Yvonne Gage. Billed as the unofficial answer to Michael Jackson’s “THRILLER”, “Doin’ It In A Haunted House” made the bottom of the US R&B chart and reached the UK Top 50 in June 1984. It’s a decent option this!
