Hailing from Newcastle, EMEXL has gone from local hero to rising household name off the back of big plays on BBC Radio 1, Capital Dance and KISS FM. His energetic sonics come with potent sound designs and plenty of charm that will get any crowd moving. Alongside MistaJam, the pair cook up a real storm with their new EP ‘Boom Box’, featuring two go-to anthems for label boss Topping across his sets this summer.
Opener ‘Boom Box’ is direct and chunky techno for peak time dance floors. Layers of percussion, clipped vocals and hypnotic grooves all lock you in before the rave-ready synth stabs take things to the next level.
