80’s Italo Disco number ‘I’m Ready’ by Kano gets the modern twist from Mousse T this October.
Although Kano is considered the starter of italo-disco by many, it also served as a bridge to electro and breakdance later in the 1980s. The trio of Luciano Ninzatti (guitars), Stefano Pulga (keyboards), and Matteo Bonsanto (producer) released three LP’s in the early 80’s and have become contemporary classics to many. One of them we speak of is Mousse T. The German hit maker has been a long time admirer of the group and now he takes to the desk to remix them.
The grooving bass tones of ‘Im Ready’ laid over rubbery kicks and the strong piano lines juxtaposed by shimmering, arpeggiated synth lines is a thing of beauty. Throw in the robotic Vox and you have a modern disco weapon that could hold it’s own on both commercial and further dance floors.
