Manchester-born disco institution La Discothèque marks its tenth anniversary with two major celebrations in Manchester and London this November.
A decade after launching at Manchester’s Albert Hall in November 2016, La Discothèque is preparing to celebrate its tenth birthday with two of its most ambitious events to date. The Manchester-born party will take over The Warehouse Project on Saturday 7 November before heading south to London’s Drumsheds on Friday 13 November.
Founded by Kat Warburton, La Discothèque has spent the past ten years building a reputation for colourful, disco-led parties that bring together house music, classic dancefloor sounds and a healthy dose of theatrical extravagance. What began as a Manchester event has since grown into an international brand, with appearances at Printworks, Drumsheds and a host of Ibiza venues along the way.
For its anniversary, the team is returning to two cities that have played important roles in that journey, with lineups drawing on everything from classic disco and soulful house to contemporary club sounds.
Manchester: A Homecoming At The Warehouse Project
Saturday 7 November 2026
The first celebration sees La Discothèque make its Warehouse Project debut, taking over all five rooms at Depot Mayfield for what promises to be its biggest Manchester homecoming yet.
The Depot will welcome DJ sets from Basement Jaxx and Groove Armada alongside Annie Mac, Dombresky presenting his Disco Dom project, DJ Paulette and Carly Foxx.
Over in the Concourse, there’s plenty to interest the more discerning house and disco heads. Gerd Janson goes back-to-back with Krystal Klear, while Hunee joins Luke Una for another particularly appealing pairing. Jayda G, Cassius, CC! and Mix-Stress complete a room that could easily provide some of the night’s standout moments.
The Archive offers another varied selection, with Crazy P appearing for a DJ set alongside Bridge, Krysko b2b Gina Breeze, Fleetmac Wood and Daisybelle.
Elsewhere, the Vault hosts DJ Spinna’s WONDER-FULL, a celebration of the music of Stevie Wonder, alongside Danuka. Star & Garter 54 completes the five-room programme with Mither, James Glover b2b Mike Woods, Meme Gold and Kirsten At The Disco.
It’s a lineup that reflects the broad musical territory La Discothèque has occupied over the past decade, balancing familiar names with selectors who have helped keep underground house and disco culture moving forward.
London: Drumsheds Takes The Anniversary South
Friday 13 November 2026
Six days later, the celebrations move to Drumsheds in London for a three-room takeover.
Purple Disco Machine heads the bill, joined by special guest Folamour, with Dan Shake, Dombresky’s Disco Dom project and the returning La Discothèque Orchestra adding to the programme.
For house music devotees, the appearance of Masters At Work is another major attraction. Louie Vega and Kenny Dope remain two of the most influential figures in the genre, with a musical legacy stretching across New York house, garage and Latin-influenced dance music.
There’s also a particularly interesting selection of artists associated with Jayda G’s curated room, including Chicago house pioneer Ron Trent, Jennifer Loveless and Tarzsa.
DJ Paulette, Heléna Star, Daisybelle, Siggy and Disco Voix featuring Jenna G are also among the announced acts.
With three rooms in operation, the London event looks set to offer a broad mix of disco spectacle and deeper house music, bringing together established names and newer talent under one roof.
Ten Years Of La Discothèque
La Discothèque’s first event took place at Manchester’s Albert Hall on 12 November 2016, with the party taking inspiration from the musical freedom of New York’s Paradise Garage and the glamour of Studio 54.
Over the years, its combination of disco, house and elaborate production has taken the brand well beyond its Manchester roots. Five sold-out events at Printworks London were followed by its involvement in the opening of Drumsheds, where it subsequently returned for a sold-out show at the 15,000-capacity venue.
Ibiza has also played a part in its story, with events at Pikes, 528 Ibiza, Lío, O Beach and Ibiza Rocks, alongside appearances at festivals including Kala and Eastern Electrics.
Speaking ahead of the anniversary celebrations, founder and CEO Kat Warburton reflected on the importance of the two cities:
“Manchester and London have both played an integral role in the La Discothèque journey, so it felt only right to celebrate our tenth birthday with two official parties in these iconic venues.”
She also paid tribute to the community that has supported the brand over the past decade, describing its tenth anniversary as a milestone built on the enthusiasm of the people who have attended its parties.
The anniversary events arrive as La Discothèque looks towards further international expansion, with plans to develop its presence across North America, Europe and Asia.
For now, though, the focus is firmly on Manchester and London. Two substantial lineups, two very different venues and a chance to celebrate ten years of a party that has made disco its calling card.
