London’s iconic nightclub celebrates 35 years with a landmark weekend spanning drum & bass, house and techno this October.
Few venues in electronic music can claim the cultural impact of Ministry of Sound, and even fewer have managed to remain relevant for 35 years. This October, the London institution celebrates that milestone with a carefully curated weekend that brings together some of dance music’s most influential names, reflecting both its rich history and its continued place at the forefront of club culture.
Running across Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd October 2026, the anniversary programme will see Andy C, Kerri Chandler, Moodymann and Loco Dice headline three distinctive events, each representing a different chapter in the club’s musical legacy.
Friday belongs to Ministry’s long-running Louder brand as drum & bass legend Andy C returns to the venue for the first time in a decade. Widely regarded as one of the greatest DJs the genre has ever produced, Andy C will deliver an extended three-hour set, showcasing material from his forthcoming fourth studio album alongside the technical precision and energy that have defined his career.
House music takes centre stage on Saturday afternoon as legendary UK institution Hard Times hosts one of the weekend’s standout sessions. New York deep house pioneer Kerri Chandler joins forces with Detroit icon Moodymann, bringing together two artists whose influence stretches across generations of underground dance music. Chandler’s timeless blend of soulful, groove-led house alongside Moodymann’s famously unpredictable and deeply personal selections promises one of the year’s most compelling daytime line-ups.
The celebrations conclude on Saturday night as Ministry’s flagship underground brand Urge welcomes Loco Dice. Renowned for his distinctive fusion of house and techno, the Tunisian-German DJ has remained one of the scene’s most respected selectors for over two decades, making him a fitting choice to close the anniversary weekend.
Speaking about the celebrations, Ministry of Sound Club Director Matt Long said:
“Few venues get to celebrate 35 years at the heart of dance music. We wanted to mark this milestone with a line-up that reflects both our heritage and where our sound is today. It’s an honour to celebrate this anniversary with such incredible talent, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all.”
The birthday programme forms part of a wider year of celebrations for Ministry of Sound, which has already included a major refurbishment of its famous main room, the release of the Ministry of Sound: Anthology book, the launch of the Boxed In DJ competition, the immersive Last Orders experience, and the club’s long-awaited return to Ibiza with a special 528 takeover this September.
With additional artists still to be announced, the 35th birthday weekend is already shaping up to be one of the capital’s standout electronic music events of 2026.
