A warm and groove-heavy reimagining of a soul classic, blending dusty disco house aesthetics with raw club energy.

Italian producer SIMPLR launches his new Night Luv imprint with a release that wears its influences proudly while delivering enough personality to stand on its own two feet. Built around a lovingly reworked soul classic, “Let’s Stay Together” arrives as a limited hand-stamped 7″ and immediately sets the tone for what the label hopes to achieve: music designed to bring people together through shared moments on dancefloors and beyond.

The original mix is packed with charm. Chopped and filtered vocal snippets drift in and out of the arrangement, teasing listeners rather than revealing all their cards at once. Beneath them sits a rugged groove driven by rough-edged drums, warm basslines and swirling synth work that gives the track a distinctly lived-in feel. Rather than aiming for polished perfection, SIMPLR embraces the raw energy that has always made disco edits and house reworks so appealing.

There’s an infectious sense of movement running throughout the production. The groove feels loose, organic and effortlessly uplifting, while the carefully deployed vocal fragments provide just enough familiarity to spark recognition without dominating the track. It’s the kind of record that feels equally at home warming up a dancefloor or providing the soundtrack to a sun-soaked afternoon session.

On the flip, K Lost’s Acid Dub takes things in a more club-focused direction. Chunkier drums, a beefed-up low end and subtle acid flourishes transform the source material into a deeper, tougher affair designed for later hours. While the soul of the original remains intact, the remix introduces additional tension and drive, giving DJs a useful alternative for peak-time moments.

As debut releases go, Night Luv could hardly ask for a stronger statement of intent. Soulful, energetic and packed with character, “Let’s Stay Together” successfully bridges disco heritage and modern dancefloor sensibilities while reminding us why great songs continue to inspire new interpretations.
