L.D.F. brings together a heavyweight cast of underground house talent for World Beats Vol. 2, a deep, hypnotic collection that feels built for proper heads-down dancefloors and late-night sessions alike.

Italian producer Lello Di Franco, aka L.D.F., takes more of a curator’s role on this release, steering the EP through a rich blend of deep house, jazz textures, Afro-rooted rhythms and immersive grooves. Rather than chasing obvious peak-time moments, World Beats Vol. 2 slowly unfolds track by track, rewarding listeners who appreciate atmosphere, movement and subtle musical detail.

The fingerprints of Byron The Aquarius are immediately recognisable throughout. His loose, jazz-infused approach gives the EP plenty of soul, especially in the swung drums, off-grid keys and organic feeling arrangements that sound more like musicians jamming in a smoky basement than rigidly programmed club tracks. There’s a warmth and spontaneity running through the release that keeps things feeling alive.

Tilman brings a more hypnotic edge to proceedings, helping glue the EP together with smooth, rolling grooves and understated deep house elegance. His touch keeps the energy simmering rather than exploding, allowing the project to maintain its meditative flow from start to finish.

Trinidadian Deep injects emotional richness into the release, layering Afro-deep textures and spacious atmospherics into the mix. His influence gives the EP a spiritual depth that lifts it beyond straightforward club functionality, adding real feeling and late-night introspection.

The standout closer, ‘Fire Drums II’, leans fully into tribal hypnosis. Pulsating percussion, ritualistic rhythms and electronic textures combine into a track that feels primal, energetic and completely locked into the dancefloor. It’s the sort of cut that sneaks up on you over a big system at 4am.

Overall, World Beats Vol. 2 is a classy and deeply musical release that values groove, texture and patience over instant gratification. This is sophisticated underground house music made for listeners who still appreciate the art of the journey.
