King Street Sounds continues to revisit its catalogue with care, and this latest remix package from Dam Swindle feels like a natural fit for the label’s deeper and more soulful side.

Bringing together reworks of Arnold Jarvis, DJ Pierre & Simon Doty and 95 North, the Dutch duo deliver three club-focused interpretations that stay respectful to the originals whilst adding their own warm, groove-led touch.

Leading the release is Arnold Jarvis’ Special Kind Of Love, one of King Street’s most enduring vocal records. Already circulating digitally, the remix now lands on vinyl and sounds perfectly suited to the format. Dam Swindle place Jarvis’ unmistakable vocal firmly at the centre of the mix, wrapping it in rich chords, warm low-end and understated percussion. There is a deepness running throughout the track that leans heavily into classic late-night house territory without ever feeling overly nostalgic.

Next up, Come Together from DJ Pierre & Simon Doty moves into more driving territory. Built around a straight-up 4/4 groove, the remix layers plunging chords, tension-building strings and spoken vocal snippets into something that feels equally spiritual and dancefloor focused. There is a subtle preacher-like energy to the vocal that gives the track a hypnotic edge as it gradually unfolds.

Closing the release, 95 North’s Find A Way To Believe perhaps carries the most obvious Dam Swindle fingerprint of the three. Funk-driven and rhythm-heavy, the remix combines chopped-up grooves, shimmering synth work, soulful male vocals and tougher drum programming into a warm but punchy house cut. Female vocal ad-libs drift through the arrangement, adding extra movement and texture throughout.

What works particularly well across the EP is Dam Swindle’s restraint. Rather than overcomplicating the originals or forcing modern production trends onto them, the duo focus on groove, warmth and atmosphere. The result feels timeless rather than revisionist.

A strong vinyl package that once again highlights why King Street’s catalogue continues to hold so much weight within House music culture.
