Northwest duo Atari Safari link with It’s Yonah for a chart-topping disco house weapon, backed by a classy NYC remix from Lenny Fontana.

There’s a reason ‘Boom Tat’ is sitting at the top of the Beatport Funky House chart right now. This is feel-good house music done right, built for busy dancefloors and late-night singalongs without losing its underground edge.

From the jump, Atari Safari lock into a tight, rolling groove. The percussion is crisp and infectious, sitting neatly around a rubbery, funk-laced bassline that drives the track forward with purpose. Filtered disco loops swirl in and out, giving the record that classic hands-in-the-air energy while still keeping things polished and modern. It’s the kind of groove that DJs can ride for minutes, letting the momentum build naturally.

It’s Yonah is the real spark here. Her vocal is playful, confident and instantly memorable, sitting perfectly in the pocket of the rhythm. There’s a natural charisma to her delivery that taps into classic disco house traditions while still sounding fresh. The hook sticks quickly, and you can already picture crowds echoing it back in a packed room.

The original mix leans into that balance between nostalgia and functionality. It’s got enough character to stand out, but it’s also structured with the dancefloor firmly in mind. Clean drops, well-timed breakdowns and a groove that never lets up.

On remix duties, Lenny Fontana brings a touch of New York heritage to the package. His NYC Club Mix shifts the energy slightly, adding a richer musicality through warm keys, uplifting brass stabs and a standout sax line that gives the track a live, celebratory feel. It’s more overtly soulful, with a classic house sensibility that nods to the golden era without feeling dated. The groove is looser, უფრო expressive, and built for those peak-time moments where the vibe turns euphoric.

Together, the package hits all the right notes. The original is a straight-up funky weapon, while the remix adds depth and musical flair, making this a versatile release for DJs across different settings.

With ‘Boom Tat’, Atari Safari and It’s Yonah continue to build serious momentum, and with Lenny Fontana adding his stamp, this one feels like it’s got long legs beyond its current chart position.
