Sankeys returns to Manchester with the likes of Steve Lawler, Reboot, Magda and Nick Curly.
Manchester club culture is about to regain one of its most influential institutions as Sankeys announces the first wave of artists set to play its new Sidney Street venue between February and June 2026. Following years of anticipation since the closure of its Ancoats space in 2017, the iconic brand is officially back with a tightly curated programme that reconnects the city with one of its most important underground spaces.
Reopening as a 500 capacity venue in the heart of Manchester, Sankeys is stripping things back to the core values that made it legendary. Forward thinking electronic music, a deep respect for club culture and a dancefloor first mentality sit at the centre of its relaunch. The new chapter begins with an opening weekend on 30 and 31 January, followed by weekly Saturday events from 7 February, including the return of the much loved Tribal Sessions as a monthly residency.
The first wave lineup reads like a statement of intent. From house innovators to techno mainstays and underground favourites, Sankeys is bringing together generations and styles under one roof. Artists confirmed for the February to June run include Felix Da Housecat, Maya Jane Coles, Solardo, Stacey Pullen, Steve Lawler, Magda, Nick Curly, Oxia, Josh Butler and Heidi, alongside a strong showing from Lauren Lo Sung, Priku, Reboot, Robbie Doherty, Seb Zito and Tania Vulcano.
That balance continues deeper down the bill, with Pirate Copy, Rossko, Kellie Allen, Cristina Lazic, Bontan, Boss Priester, Krysko, Luca606, OD Muzique, Rio Tashan and Ruby Richards all locked in. It is a lineup that reflects Sankeys long standing commitment to showcasing a broad spectrum of underground sounds while providing a platform for both established names and rising talent.
The return of Sankeys also marks the end of what many have described as a Sankeys shaped hole in the Northern club scene. The new Sidney Street space has been carefully designed to recapture the raw, immersive atmosphere that defined the original venue. Expect the iconic LED matrix installation, a no VIP policy and a no phones on the dancefloor approach that puts the focus firmly back on the music and the shared experience.
With more special guests and additional artists still to be announced, this first wave feels like just the beginning. Sankeys Manchester is not simply reopening its doors, it is reasserting its place at the heart of the city’s underground culture.
