Three visionary producers reimagine Todd Terry’s 1995 classic with fresh club heat for a new generation of dancers.
Nearly thirty years after its original release on Hard Times, Todd Terry’s ‘Devil’s Dance’ still hits with that wild, combustible energy that defined his most timeless work. The organ stabs, the bulbous bassline, the frantic swing, it all carries the DNA of a producer who shaped house music in its most explosive era. Now, as Hard Times closes out 2025, a trio of modern club innovators step up to reinterpret the track for today’s floors, bringing London grit, Balearic cool and Berlin precision into the fold.
Rossi. leads the charge with a remix grounded in his London roots. He twists Todd’s classic chords through a skippy UKG framework, adding warped groove contours and sharp rhythmic bounce that inject new movement into the original’s muscular structure. It is a clever switch of rhythm and attitude, one that keeps the spirit intact while giving dancers a modern shuffle to lock into.
Demi Riquísimo takes things deeper and dirtier. A self-confessed fan who has been dropping the original in his sets for years, his remix leans into the grit rather than smoothing it out. Raw drums, heavier bass pressure and a snaking acid line all merge into a mix that respects Todd’s rough cut approach while giving it a fresh rave pulse. It feels sweaty, tightly wound and perfect for shadowy late night rooms where tension is king.
Closing the package, Cinthie steps in with her signature blend of analog warmth and Berlin club focus. Her version honours the old school core of the track while opening it up with shimmering synth detail and a strong sense of forward momentum. The groove breathes differently here, less frantic and more refined, but still fully charged. It is the most polished of the three and a reminder of why Cinthie remains one of Europe’s most trusted dancefloor architects.
Together, these mixes do more than remix a classic. They extend its lifespan, reframing one of Todd Terry’s most potent tracks through new rhythmic cultures and new sonic contexts. The fire of ‘Devil’s Dance’ still burns at the centre, but in the hands of Rossi., Demi Riquísimo and Cinthie, it erupts again with renewed force.
The package drops on November 28th, per order on Beatport here.
