UK heavyweight Wh0 lands on Radio Slave’s Rekids imprint with “Girls & Boys”, a high-energy piano-driven house cut that screams peak-time summer euphoria.
Wh0, who first made waves as part of the iconic Rhythm Masters, continues to carve out a stellar solo path. With headline sets at Printworks, XOYO, and Fabric, he’s also the force behind the Wh0 Plays and Wh0 Worx imprints. Production-wise, his resume includes collaborations with Nile Rodgers, David Penn, and David Morales, alongside remix work for Ten City, Röyksopp, and Idris Elba. A consistent chart-topper with over a million monthly Spotify streams, his output shows no signs of slowing.
Rekids, under Matt Edwards’ A&R direction, continues its tradition of championing quality dancefloor output. Whether it’s through the main label, the techno-leaning Rekids Special Projects, or their newer sub label REK’D, the imprint remains a key platform for both rising talent and long-established names in the house and techno continuum.
Blending classic house motifs with modern flair, the track is a floor-focused weapon packed with loopy chord stabs, an irresistibly raw rolling bassline, and a bounce that feels right at home under festival spotlights or in dark club basements.
From the first drop, “Girls & Boys” is pure hands in the air material. It channels that retro house spirit without sounding like a throwback, it’s contemporary, charged, and unrelenting in its groove.
On remix duties, Polish duo Catz ‘n Dogz twist the original into a weightier dub version. Stripped-back and tough, their rework leans into hypnotic techno territory with eerie vocal chops and a chugging, low-slung rhythm built to simmer late into the night. It’s a sharp contrast that adds extra depth to the release.
“Girls & Boys” is out on Rekids from June 13, 2025, and it’s one for the summer playlists.
