Ian Pooley & Manuel Tur take on two of their respective Belcampo favourites to follow up the release of ‘Pastiches & Mélanges’.
Following the warmly received Pastiches & Mélanges EP, Belcampo returns with a two-track remix package that sees house stalwarts Ian Pooley and Manuel Tur lend their veteran touch to standout cuts from the original release. It’s a tidy offering that bridges the refined sensibilities of classic deep house with a contemporary polish.
Pooley takes on “Cristoville” and stays firmly in his lane, and thank God he does. Known for his deep grooves and signature MPC swing, he doesn’t reinvent the wheel here but instead reinforces what made the original track such a gem. The drums roll with confidence, the bassline is buttery smooth, and there’s a kind of laid-back propulsion that makes it perfect for those in-the-know dancefloors.
On the flip, Manuel Tur delivers a masterclass in subtle reinvention with his remix of “Love & Affection.” Where the original leaned into its warm-hearted charm, Tur adds emotional depth through layers of intricate sound design and a rolling, hypnotic groove. It’s deep house with serious contour, lush, textured, and built for moments when the night shifts gears into something more introspective.
Both mixes reflect the long-standing artistry of their respective producers without overshadowing Belcampo’s vision. This is remix culture at its best: respectful, inspired, and functional on the floor.
The remix package drops on Fred Everything’s Lazy Days Recordings on June 27th, 2025. Pre order here.
