The classic disco track ‘I Like Love’ by Norma Jean Wright get’s the edit treatment from northeast veteran Griff.

Released in 1978 “I Like Love” was one of Chic singer Norma Jean Wright’s standout songs along with ‘Saturday’. The Ohio-born vocalist performed on tracks from the likes Aretha Franklin, Randy Crawford and Will Downing and only released the single solo album, that was produced by Chic stars Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers.

The track was brought into the spotlight in 2003 by duo Solitaire who beefed up the disco track and brought it to the House dance floors. In this edit by Griff the track is built from the original Norma Jean track, looping and cutting the disco belter and giving it a lo-fi looping vibe. A great edition to the already superb Solitaire offering.

The edit aptly named ‘Griff’s Solitary Edit’ is out for a free download here.
