Luke Alessi steps up on his Coffee Cola imprint with the Yes Empress EP, delivering four high-energy cuts built firmly for the dancefloor.

The Melbourne producer has been refining his sound for years, first under a different alias and, since 2018, under his own name. With support from names like RÜFÜS DU SOL and collaborations including work with Chloé Caillet, Alessi continues to build momentum as one of the more exciting names pushing modern club sounds forward.

The title track “Yes Empress” sets things off with intent. Low-slung bass, driving drums and a well-placed nod to the past through soulful samples in the breakdown give it that instant club appeal.

“B Phonk” follows with a more heads-down approach. Kinetic drums, chopped vocal snippets and a subtle Latin edge keep things moving, while “Guacamole” continues in a similar lane, layering punchy drums with playful vocal stabs and brass touches that land well in the mix.

Closing track “Overtime” shifts the mood. A deeper, more chugging groove with a metallic edge, it leans into a heavier sound that feels built for bigger rooms.

Final thoughts

Yes Empress is a confident statement from Alessi.

Four club-ready cuts with energy, character and just enough variation to keep things interesting.

If you dig this, check this heater in a similar lane.
