To celebrate 100 releases on their label Heist Recordings, the duo have called upon some special friends and put together 19 new tracks that really bang.
Maarten Smeets & Lars Dales, aka Dam Swindle, have long been one of our favourite production duos as well as DJ’s and label heads. We’ve reviewed numerous releases going back to 2012/2013 when the lads were known as Detroit Swindle. Tracks like ‘Nothing Else Matters’ and ‘The Break Up’ really stood out as a fresh progressive moves for the House sound being produced around that time that also stayed true to House roots.
Fast forward nearly fifteen years and the Maarten and Lars are still as passionate about music as then. Celebrating in 2026 the 100th release of their label Heist Recordings, Dam Swindle have flicked through their Filofax and called on some of the biggest names in House music to put forward nineteen tracks that make up the ‘House of House’ LP.
Some standout tracks for us are the opener ‘Back To The Old School’ with its hefty bass lines, charismatic vocal speech and looping lead synths. Kolter’s ‘Need U, Want U’ is a peak-time synth-driven cut packed with detail, while Cinthie drops a proper piano weapon on ‘U Gotta Believe’. Folamour brings a touch of nu-disco soul with the tender yet groovy ‘Wont Let You Down’. ‘Kerriousity’ by the main man Kerri Chandler is just pure class. Driven by layers of organ and synth melodies underpinned by a bulbous bass line, this is classic Kerri. Dj Sneak’s ‘Lovin’ Me’ is a looping disco groove juxtaposing 70’s funk with tough Chicago drums. Riva Starr delivers the jazz-infused ‘Take Up The Space’ which brings the lyrical genius of Zyion.
Final Thought.
This is pure class from the Swindle boys and hand picking nineteen unreleased from what is really a who’s who of modern house music, is a real testament to everything these guys stand for and the respect not on they receive but have earned.
You can pre order the ‘House of House’ LP now here. Full release drops 8th May 2026.
