Grammy winning duo Deep Dish reshape a techno-rock anthem into a dark, hypnotic club weapon built for 2026 dancefloors.

When Deep Dish, Nicole Moudaber, and Skunk Anansie come together on one record, it naturally carries weight. Landing 20th February 2026 via Factory 93, this new version of ‘Love Someone Else’ sees Dubfire and Sharam apply their measured, club-focused approach to a track that already blends techno intensity with rock vocal power.

Deep Dish have built their reputation through releases on labels such as Deconstruction and Tribal, alongside their own label founded in 1994 Yoshitoshi Recordings, consistently favouring groove, space and long-form tension over obvious peaks. That mindset is clear here.

The rework strips the track back and rebuilds it around a steady, rolling low-end. The percussion is tight and purposeful, gradually layering to create forward momentum without overcrowding the mix. Rather than dramatically reshaping the vocal, Deep Dish position it carefully within the arrangement, allowing Skin’s delivery to retain its emotional weight.

There is a noticeable restraint throughout. The melodic elements are subtle, often appearing as understated synth lines that add colour rather than dominate. Breakdowns are controlled and functional, serving to reset the groove instead of chasing big-room theatrics. The focus remains on flow and structure.

From a DJ perspective, this is a tool designed for extended sets. It leans into hypnotic repetition, making it suitable for late-night environments where gradual development matters more than instant impact. The tension builds steadily, and the payoff comes from the groove locking in rather than from explosive drops.

What works particularly well is the balance between identities. Moudaber’s techno framework, Skunk Anansie’s distinctive vocal tone, and Deep Dish’s melodic house sensibility sit alongside each other without competing. The result feels cohesive and deliberate.

After a year of road testing, this version of ‘Love Someone Else’ arrives as a refined, club-ready interpretation that prioritises control, groove and atmosphere over excess. It is a considered rework that respects the original while shifting its emphasis firmly towards the dancefloor.
