Jon Sable makes a welcome return to In Dust We Trust, the label he co-runs with Chaos in the CBD, delivering a three-track EP rooted in groove and subtle detail. The title track Imperfect Circuit sets the tone with a dub-leaning flow, where loose percussion, hazy stabs and a rolling bassline lock into a hypnotic rhythm. Heads Up shifts things into warmer territory, pairing smooth pads with a weightier, more driving low end that feels firmly grounded on the floor. Rounding out the release, People Person strips things back to a raw, groove-led drum workout, driven by gritty textures and a no-nonsense rhythmic pulse. A focused and well-balanced EP that fits perfectly into deeper, late-night selections.
