Job Jobse revives a lost Balearic treasure from the 90s and surrounds it with dream soaked mixes built for sunset dancers and late night dreamers.

Planet Strangelove launches with a statement of intent. Job Jobse digs deep into the archives to unearth a rare Balearic house cut from Leeds producer Pianoman, a name often associated with big piano anthems yet here delivering something far more cosmic. Pasion is a Tangerine Dream inspired glide through warm pads, drifting arpeggios and the unmistakable shimmer of early Italian dream house. The original is hard to find and carries that Sueno Latino meets Love on a Real Train magic that defined so many sunrise sets in the early 90s.

Pianoman’s own Analysis Mix sets the tone with spacious percussion, soft rolling bass and a melodic swell that feels weightless. The synth textures bloom slowly and create a gentle forward pull that is perfect for warm up sets or long horizon drive moments. It is Balearic at its core. Soft, emotional and designed to lift the room without force.

Alex Kassian provides the biggest shift in mood across two standout versions. His Mandrime Dream Mix strips everything into an immersive ambient journey that leans into transcendence. Long reverb trails, floating pads and spacious choral tones create a drifting, widescreen feel. It captures that dreamlike beauty found in his earlier work and gives Pasion a completely new dimension.

His second contribution, the Mandrine Dance Mix, brings the energy into Italian dream house territory. Gentle percussion, rolling bass and crystalline leads create a dancefloor ready trip that channels the classic 1991 to 1993 euphoria. It is uplifting without rushing, emotional without being sentimental. A beautifully judged club moment.

Tesselate founders The Trip complete the package with a version that nods to Gat Decor’s legendary Passion. It brings tighter drums, a brighter rhythmic snap and a hypnotic lead line that echoes the golden era of progressive house. Their mix adds a late night curiosity and forward motion, rounding out an already rich release with a more driving option for modern floors.

Planet Strangelove 001 lands as a beautifully curated love letter to Balearic history. Pasion is resurrected with care and surrounded by mixes that respect its roots while offering new paths for DJs. A superb debut and a guaranteed favourite for deep house heads and dream house devotees.
