Full Circle Vol. Two celebrates 30 years of 20/20 Vision with unreleased remixes from Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards, Bobby., and Hardway Bros, showcasing Carl Finlow’s Random Factor and timeless UK house and techno.
As 20/20 Vision continues celebrating three decades at the cutting edge, Full Circle Vol. Two arrives as a heavyweight statement from one of the UK’s most respected imprints. Following February’s first volume, which unearthed gems from Christian Löffler, Tuccillo, and Art of Tones, the focus this time shifts to Carl Finlow, the label’s co-founder and the creative force behind Random Factor.
The concept is pure 20/20: rare archive material and long-lost mixes meeting brand new reinterpretations from some of electronic music’s most distinctive voices. The result is a record that bridges eras, a snapshot of the label’s deep roots and its ongoing impact on the dancefloor.
Ricardo Villalobos’ remix of Easy Lee instantly steals attention. Long buried in the vaults, this version was commissioned over twenty years ago but never saw the light of day until now. Villalobos’ original was already a defining moment in minimal house, but here Carl Finlow’s Random Factor touch refracts it through the 20/20 lens. It is punchier, moodier, and unmistakably British in its rhythmic precision. It is a rare example of two pioneers’ worlds finally colliding, and it feels worth every second of the wait.
Craig Richards’ remix of Convergence is another standout. His understanding of space and sound design gives the track a cinematic dimension. Subtle layers of percussion and warm basslines roll underneath detailed textures, the kind of production that feels tailor-made for a dark room and a perfectly tuned sound system. Road tested at Houghton Festival, it is Richards at his most refined and hypnotic.
On the flip, Bobby. takes Lockdown and turns it into a peak-time weapon. It is tough, full-bodied, and built for late-night moments when the crowd loses itself in raw energy. The drop hits hard, and it is easy to imagine why this one caused mayhem at Block9’s Genesys stage at Glastonbury this summer.
Finally, Sean Johnson aka Hardway Bros closes things with a deep, bass-heavy rework of Digitize. This version nods to the cosmic psychedelia of A Love From Outer Space, echoing the late Andrew Weatherall’s spirit while grounding itself in a modern, low-end driven groove. It is both nostalgic and forward-thinking, the perfect conclusion to a release about connection and evolution.
As 20/20 Vision hits its 30th year, Full Circle Vol. Two is more than a retrospective. It is a living document of UK house and techno, a reminder that the sound built in Leeds continues to resonate on the global stage. Few labels can claim this level of consistency, and even fewer can still surprise after three decades.
Full Circle Vol. Two proves that Ralph Lawson and his crew have not just come full circle, they have widened it. Pre order the release here.
