Visions Of Light return with a dreamy new mini LP, ‘Swimming in a Sea of Stars’, a five track excursion that stretches their sound into new celestial dimensions.

Following their debut ‘The Mandala Vortex’ on NuNorthern Soul, the Irish trio of Simon Sheldon, Dan Dub Lounge and Muzka aka Visions Of Light craft a record steeped in Balearic warmth yet shimmering with a cosmic edge.

From the slow motion glide of ‘La Denses Secrète’ to the sparkling textures of ‘Hand Full Of Gems’, there is a real sense of Café del Mar’s sunset legacy woven through these tracks. ‘Platform’ and ‘Seed’ bring in shades of electronica layered with live guitar and keys, while ‘Calling Malmö’ closes the journey with a gentle, emotional drift that feels like slipping toward an unknown but strangely familiar horizon.

This is music made for golden hours, where dub, ambient, jazz and soul entwine with synths, vocals and organic instrumentation. Ken Fan of Café del Mar calls them “gems” and it is hard to disagree.

Swimming in a Sea of Stars rolls out across staggered releases on August 22nd and September 5th, with the full release dropping September 19th. One for the dreamers and the sunset seekers. Check the guys out via Bandcamp here.
