The Ibiza-based duo of DJ Pippi and Willie Graff have dropped one of the most catchy anthems of the summer in ‘Are U Yek?’.
Already being caned around the Ibizan dancefloors and further, this ode to Mory Kanté’s ‘Ye Ke Ye Ke’ has ‘Plastic Dreams’ vibes for us and maybe a couple more nods to classics gone. A pure moment of nostalgic hedonism that from first hearing had us up on the office chairs!
DJ Pippi born Giuseppe Nuzzo in Italy, is one of the original architects of the Ibiza sound. Arriving on the island in the early 1980s, he quickly became a fixture behind the decks at legendary spots like Pacha, blending soul, funk, house, and sun-soaked Balearic beats into a style that perfectly captured the island’s free-spirited vibe. Known for his warm, melodic selections and deep connection with the crowd, Pippi helped shape the soundtrack of Ibiza’s golden era and remains a respected figure in the global dance scene.
Born and raised in Ibiza, Willie Graff grew up immersed in the island’s rich club culture. By his teens he was already DJing at the legendary Pacha, developing a deep and soulful style that blends house, disco, and jazz influences. His career took him far beyond the White Isle, becoming a long-time resident at Cielo in New York and collaborating with some of the biggest names in underground dance music. Whether in an intimate club or on a Balearic sunset terrace, Willie’s sets are always a journey through groove and emotion.
‘Are U Yek’ isn’t the first time these two have collaborated, tracks like ‘Let Me Show You’ showcase the pairings musical knowledge from everything Balearic downtempo to more tech house vibes and everything in between. We’ve had the pleasure of meeting both of these guys and we are big fans.
