Louis Baker enlists Andre Lodemann, Philippa and Hollis P. Monroe to remix his track ‘Keep On’ released via Best Works.

A soul-soaked gem from Aotearoa gets a deep club rework as Louis Baker’s powerful “Keep On” is reimagined for dancefloors around the globe. Released on Best’s Friends Music, this first part of the remix package offers three distinct takes on the track’s honeyed vocals and uplifting message, each bringing fresh energy while retaining the original’s heartfelt essence.

It was during an opening set for Fat Freddy’s Drop at Berlin’s Tempodrom that Louis Baker caught the ear of label head Daniel W. Best. Struck by the raw emotion of “Keep On”, Best knew he had something special on his hands. Enlisting long-time collaborator Andre Lodemann, along with DJ Philippa and Hollis P. Monroe, he’s delivered a package that blends deep house, soul, and sophisticated club textures into something universal.

Andre Lodemann’s remix is the most introspective of the set, layering moody pads and percussive flourishes around Baker’s vocal to hypnotic effect. The groove rolls with intent, balancing restraint and release in a way that fans of Lodemann’s deep, emotive house will immediately recognise.

DJ Philippa, a rising star making waves in both Berlin and her native New Zealand, injects a bold, rhythmic flair. Her version channels the spirit of soulful broken beat and classic deep house, with rolling percussion, subtle keys, and an organic swing that gives Baker’s voice a renewed urgency.

Hollis P. Monroe, the Canadian producer behind the cult classic “I’m Lonely”, rounds off the release with the most late-night offering. His remix leans into atmospheric textures and smoky basslines, crafting a spacious, slow-burner that’s perfect for early morning sets or introspective moments on the floor.

Across all three versions, Baker’s vocal performance remains the guiding light: rich, resonant, and emotionally anchored. There’s an undeniable warmth and wisdom to his delivery that resists overproduction, making each remix feel like a respectful extension rather than a rework.

With Part 2 already on the horizon featuring Delfonic, Larse, and Gush Collective, this first chapter sets a high standard. “Keep On” proves not only the versatility of Louis Baker’s music but also the strength of collaboration across continents and genres. Whether you’re drawn to deep grooves, soulful reinterpretations, or immersive late-night moods, this remix package has something for you.
