London-based producers Leo Leone & Lewis John give a new lick of paint to Hot Natured’s 2013 hit ‘Reverse Skydiving’.
Released in 2013 at the height of the deep house revival, “Reverse Skydiving” by Hot Natured featuring Anabel Englund captures a moment when underground aesthetics collided with pop sensibility. Built around a sultry, slow-burning groove, the track glides between cosmic synth work, crisp percussion, and a thick, low-slung bassline that gives it undeniable club weight.
Englund’s vocal adds a hypnotic, almost psychedelic edge, floating above the arrangement with a sense of seduction and mystery. It is a perfect example of how Hot Natured, the supergroup made up of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Luca C and Ali Love, pushed boundaries and offered something just as suited to warehouse sessions as it was to sun-drenched terraces. “Reverse Skydiving” remains a benchmark in modern house music. It is effortlessly cool, emotionally charged and endlessly playable.
Leo Leone and Lewis John reimagine Hot Natured’s “Reverse Skydiving” into a hypnotic late-night burner. Twisted vocals, rolling low-end pressure and a tight, driving groove push this bootleg deep into heads-down territory. It pays homage to the original while diving into darker, more floor-focused realms. One for DJs who like it moody and immersive.
No official release date for this one yet, but we will update when we get word.
