Austin Ato, Nautica, Evokings, DOT, simo not simon and Eliza Bogan all step up for this special four-track remix package
Groove Armada might be three decades deep, but they’re still finding new ways to rework the classics. Their latest release on DFTD isn’t just a nod to the past. It’s a sharp, floor-focused set of reinterpretations from a global cast of remixers who bring fresh energy to iconic tracks.
Leading the pack is Austin Ato, who reimagines I See You Baby into a percussive, bass-driven groove. The cheeky vocal still cuts through, but it’s framed in a way that feels fresh and direct. It’s chunky, funk-fuelled and tailored for those peak moments under the sun.
Next comes Nautica, taking on Love Sweet Sound featuring Candi Staton. Their remix strips the original back into a deeper, heads-down affair. It’s a smoky club cut that trades big-room hooks for rolling low-end pressure and late-night drive.
The third entry is the most laidback in spirit. Brazilian producers Evokings, DOT and simo not simon come together on a dreamy remix of My Friend. It’s warm, melodic and emotional with just enough kick to carry it through a warm-up set or a sunrise closer. Think terrace grooves with a Rio soul.
Wrapping things up is French producer Eliza Bogan, who comes in heavy with a bold remix of Superstylin’. Punchy drums, rapid-fire edits and a ravey energy transform the classic into a festival weapon. Word is, Groove Armada closed out their Snowboxx 2025 set with this one and the crowd went off.
Remixed manages to honour Groove Armada’s legacy while giving their catalogue a fresh spin for today’s floors. Whether you’re digging for deep, warm-up material or searching for a hands-in-the-air moment, this EP delivers a bit of everything.
