American producer Amtrac has unveiled his new cut ‘Old Times’ that features the vocals of the sultry Anabel Englund, with plays already from Pete Tong and Danny Howard, this is going to be big.
We first featured Caleb Cornett aka Amtrac back in 2014 when he landed on Toolroom, as we said back then we knew this guy had big things to come. Since then the Kentucky-born producer/Dj has landed on labels like W&O Street Tracks, Shir Khan’s Exploited and Kidnap Kid’s Birds That Fly and now he lands on America’s pioneering label Big Beat Records.
The track itself is a yearning, stepping house groove that features strong piano chords that have a raw, demented sound to each strike. Anabel Englund interacts with the strong groove perfectly. Her words drape of the beat, sensuous and full of emotive tonal values, something we’ve come to love about the LA-based artist who has previously featured on labels like Hot Creations and Defected.
Overall this is one hell of a tasty track that we expect to do the rounds in the upcoming Miami festival and no doubt throughout the summer months.
We’ve no official release date for this one but we’re expecting it to be over the next few weeks so keep your ears to the floor.
