Julie McKnight’s classic ‘Home‘ vocal gets a new workout by the hands of Sarah Favouritizm who’s created this cheeky edit alongside Ridney’s ‘Sweetest Eye‘.
A definite music guru, Sarah Favouritizm is one half of production duo Vanni & Fav, with Italian producer Alex Vanni. Cutting her teeth at Mixmag in the 90’s as a designer, Sarah went on to launch her own publicity company and record label Favouritizm in 2001. She has since worked with some of the biggest names in the business from Prince, Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, DJ Sneak and Junior Jack, along with top new breed producers Saytek, Beatamines, Third Son and more.
This edit is a fine slice of emotive house that’s perfectly placed for big room floors that want to rock. McKnight’s vocal is timeless, originally released on Defected back in 2002 is still causes a ruckus when dropped and rightly so, its perfection. The main meat of the edit comes from Ridney’s Toolroom Records smash ‘Sweetest Eye‘ this progressive slice of tech-house with a Balearic twist sounds captivating with its delicate melodies, rich strings and thumping kick. The outcome is a real moment of magic, one for the end of nights possibly or for those wanting to just reach out to their dance floors.
No official release date as of yet but with the likes of Danny Howard supporting, who knows.
