Elrow main man De La Swing lands on 20/20 Editions this July with his ‘Playground’ EP, delivering two punchy cuts and a remix from Leonardo Gonnelli.
Born in Madrid, Domingo Bellot aka De La Swing has been in full swing already in 2017 with releases on Lapsus, Kaluki and Material, now he lands on Leeds-based purveyors of quality electronic music 20/20 Vision Recordings and their Editions imprint.
As a Dj, De La Swing holds downs a residency at the esteemed Elrow parties which see’s him travel the world, captivating crowds with his non-conformist electronic sound.
This new EP opens with the energetic title-track ‘Playground‘. Carved with the dance floor in mind, this cut has all the ingredients to make it a sure-fire winner. Droning bass tones, electrifying, raw synth melodies and clever drum sequences all combine to create a peak-time jam.
‘Lockout’ is more of a dizzy groove that builds on hypnotic basslines, computerised effects, spiralling synth shots and more of De La Swing’s perfectly placed snare rolls. This squelched, Acid-styled sound will strike good chords with any underground floor.
Italian producer Leonardo Gonnelli rounds off the EP with his remix of ‘Playground‘. A more rhythmic, stripped-back vibe is served up that leads with daunting synth chords, delayed vocals and massive snare rolls that explode at the breaks.
De La Swing’s ‘Playground’ EP will land on 20/20 Editions from July 17th, 2017.
