Darius Syrossian returns to north-east town Darlington this July for Terrace Sessions with support from Chris Ryan, Paul Stoker and Mitch Brown.
It’s always a thrill to see big names arrive at small intimate club nights and this next event from the Terrace Sessions crew is one to definitely pencil in your diaries. Hold tight, Mr Darius Syrossian is coming to Darlington this July.
The Do Not Sleep main man and former VIVa Warriors and Tribal Sessions resident has been at the forefront of the UK underground scene for quite dome time now. His name is synonymous with anthems such as ‘Who’s The Douche’, ‘My Side Project’, ‘Hanns Trippy’ and ‘Mischief Brew’ as well as hosting one of the best Essential Mixes of 2016 in our opinion, bringing his signature sounds to the Radio 1 towers for another dance music heavyweight, Pete Tong.
We caught up with Darius recently to speak of the gig and what he thinks of the northeast crowds.
KOTT : Hi Darius, Thanks for taking some time out to speak to us. Have you played in Darlington before?
Darius: “Yes i have and both times it was actually a really, really good night, I know the guys I played for had booked Omar S which is a great booking for places like Berlin and London, so hats off..”
KOTT: What do you like about playing up in the north-east?
Darius: “I honestly think the Geordies and generally the people in the north-east are one of the best crowds to play to, and also the friendliest, I’ve played up there several times from the bigger capacity gigs to the smaller intimate ones like LOOP and never had a bad gig, looking forward to being”.
With previous guests such as Wade, Jacky, Rich Wakley, SEFF and Truth Be Told, the Terrace Sessions is always one hell of a party. Held at Avalon, this forward-thinking party is run by veteran Dj’s/promoters Chris Ryan and Paul Stoker who have nurtured Terrace Sessions into possibly one of the best nights the region has to offer.
Tickets are a very cheap £4 on the door, for more info on the night head here
