Christopher Groove – Secret Garden incl. Ricardo Villalobos Rmx (Offline)

New label OFFLINE gets underway with this July with a release from Christopher Groove entitled ‘Secret Garden’ backed by a remix from Ricardo Villalobos.

Seemingly the outcome of a fruitful year in Ibiza, Christopher Groove alongside partner Brad Wilder have formed the Offline Records label. The Austrian producer is ready to debut the label with his own release ‘Secret Garden’ that follows up some nice previous material from Groove on labels like Moon Harbour, Crosstown Rebels and Kontor Records.

The original mix is sultry, rhythmic piece that grooves along nicely with the use of different drum elements conjoined by hi-pitched blips and darker atmospheric nuances. Deranged vocals flavour the brooding sound whilst many more textures come into play to create an intriguing piece of minimalistic electronica.

German-raised Ricardo Villalobos is perfect for the release. Known for his love of textured, otherworldly sounds, the Chilean-born producer delivers a minimal techno sound that keeps the original elements but sends them on a more direct, analogue journey that last for more than fourteen minutes.

Christopher Groove’s ‘Secret Garden’ lands on Offline Records from July 28th, 2017.
