Sad news has landed on our doorstep today of the death of Swiss-Italian musician Robert Miles, creator of the anthemic ‘Children’.
Born November 3rd, 1969 Roberto Concina aka Robert Miles was born in Switzerland before moving to Italy. In 1984 Miles began to delve into the music world firstly as a dj before moving into music production. His breakthrough track came to light in 1995 when his soft synthesiser melodies of ‘Children’ captured the whole of Europe and became a dance floor anthem also winning Miles a Brit Award, the only Italian artist to do so.
Robert went on to producer other hits like ‘Fable’, ‘One and One’ and ‘Freedom’ and he’s considered the father of what became known as ‘Dream House’. Sadly on May 10th, 2017 Robert Miles passed away from an unknown illness, the leading figures of the dance world have all come out to show their respect to the Swiss-Italian.
